Winter Wonderland

So what's the saying....."....in like a lion, out like a lamb."? Well for Utah, I guess, it came like a lion.
Christmas was spent with the in-laws. Scott's Mom, step dad Brandon, and is little sister Erika. She is five now. I love experiencing Christmas through child eyes. It makes you feel like a kid again. I had felt that I wished I was 5 again and putting on our Christmas pj's, reading the the Christmas story and The Night Before Christmas the night before Christmas and waking up the next day and having to stay in bed til dad took a shower and started a fire. Which seemed like he took the longest shower in the history of shower taking.
As we were winding down after opening presents at the Loveless home Dodie was beginning to do her preparations for her Christmas breakfast we noticed that the weather out side was reeking havoc on the Salt Lake valley. Just then as Dodie was turning on the egg scrambler thing it went dead and so did the lights and all the other electronics. The poor power men and snow plowers. It was restored after and hour or more and that is when the real excitement began. Brandon's family was coming to visit on Christmas morning when they had gotten stuck in the snow. I don't really need to explain the conditions. Just look at the pictures. Eventually they were able to make it home safely. But for the rest of us we were stuck in the house for a few days. Scott wasn't able to get out of the drive way to make it to work. Which I've never been more happy to have any one stuck in the snow.
Finale note, I can't express how wonderfully blessed I am. Even though Christmas only comes once a year. I'm reminded all year long of that and it humbles me and I have to thank my Heavenly Father, my amazing and wonderful husband, and our friends and family.
